Individual Clinical Supervision
Individual therapy supervision is a space to receive new knowledge, expertise, support, and growth.
Therapy for grief and loss as well as mild anxiety and low mood is one of the most sought-after forms of therapy, therefore you must be highly qualified to provide the necessary care for your patients. Dr. Jessica Thomas is an AAMFT-trained and certified clinical supervisor offering post-graduate clinical supervision, mentorship, and professional consultation to MFTs and LPCs.
Clinical supervision is a space to receive new knowledge, expertise, support and growth. As a clinical supervisor, Jessica focuses on the integration of systems theory, reflective practices, and transpersonal philosophy. As a supervisee, you will discover how these three components work synergistically to create the transformative therapeutic process. Furthermore, by promoting self-care, decreasing burnout, and inspiring personal growth, supervision will shape you as a clinician.

Group Clinical Supervision
Group clinical supervision offers a peer support network and widens your professional support network as a supervisee.
Participating in group clinical supervision allows you to receive a wider range of feedback and a broader perspective from your peers. Specifically for MFTs and LPCs, we not only review clinical cases but also discuss and support building your private practice, how to organize your practice, and how to effectively operate it via administration and organization.
Become A Supervisor
If you’re licensed and on the path to becoming a supervisor, Dr. Jessica can offer AAMFT supervision of supervision for MCFT and LPC licensure.
You’ll feel supported and build your expertise as a clinical supervisor. Dr. Jessica offers both individual supervision of supervision sessions and a once-a-month group session.

The Process
You need to have a CV and three references to apply for supervision.
Then, you will meet with Dr. Jessia for an initial Zoom meeting. If you both determine it’s a good fit, you will sign a mutual agreement. Depending on the number of hours to be completed, supervision will have weekly virtual sessions. There are a few in-person meetings per year which will be announced by Dr. Jessica accordingly. Dr. Jessica will sign all necessary documentation covering that period of supervision that is required for licensure.
Kindly inform Dr. Jessica of your desired license (MFT or LPC) and in which state, Kansas or Oregon. This enables us to collaborate with you effectively, ensuring your clinical experience meets all the requirements.
Group Supervision towards licensure: $100 per hour
Individual Supervision toward licensure: $175 per hour

Is clinical supervision confidential?
Typically, confidentiality is maintained during clinical supervision sessions. However, there are circumstances where confidentiality may be breached, such as the identification or disclosure of unsafe practices, and mandatory reporting obligations. A thorough discussion on confidentiality will occur during the contracting phase of supervision.
Do I need to prepare for my clinical supervision sessions?
Please be prepared with a list of the most important items such as ethical questions, clinical cases, business practices, and self of the therapist reflections. Additionally, have ready any paperwork that needs to be signed by Dr. Jessica.
Where does clinical supervision take place?
Group and individual supervision will take place virtually via a secure link. We do offer 1-2 in-person meetings a year.
