Insight Therapy through the Art of Reflection
Engaging the heart and mind to increase
awareness, creativity, and wisdom
Our philosophy is rooted in the concept of reflection
An approach that mirrors your experiences with openness and curiosity, while teaching you to reflect and contemplate independently. It’s about empowering you to discern what is right for you, aiding in your journey of making meaning from your experiences.
For individuals experiencing burnout, life transitions, grief, relational challenges, mild anxiety, and low mood: We empower you, not just to endure challenging experiences, but to thrive and transform through them. This results in you being an active participant in your journey of healing and personal growth.
Individuals and Couples Therapy
Life experience offers many circumstances that deepen and fine-tune our reflective nature, uncovering our most profound yearnings and highest callings.
Reflection, honed through the therapeutic process, expands awareness to reveal our greatest gifts — the capacity to create meaning from our experience and the potential for happiness. Dr. Jessica Thomas provides therapy for grief and loss as well as burnout, life transitions, mild anxiety, and low mood for patients in Kansas and Oregon.
Grief Therapy Explained
While we provide care for individuals with many experiences, we also specialize in grief therapy. From changing communities and deconstructing religious views to losing friends and moving homes, grief encompasses more than just death.
This is where reflection therapy can mediate difficult emotions and contribute to transformational growth.
Dr. Jessica defines grief as this: “Grief is the suffering we might experience when we don’t get what we had imagined and hoped for. It can surface when we cling to a past that is no longer serving us or when we struggle to accept a new situation. It appears when we are navigating transitions and new stages of life. And, perhaps it is felt most deeply when we have lost a close relationship.”
Support for Professionals
Group Supervision
By combining skills, experience, and knowledge from peers and your clinical supervisor, group supervision improves the skills and capability of both individuals and the group, solves problems, and sets priorities from the beginning.
Clinical Supervision
I love to guide new and CE therapists. I offer post-graduate clinical supervision, mentorship, and professional consultation for those seeking licensure in Oregon and Kansas.
Program Development
Within & Without® is my signature program, developed for Mindful Photography groups. These groups are built to serve those working through grief and loss. Reach out to learn more about bringing this to your organization.
