Therapy groups are facilitated through narrative inquiry and mindfulness practices, introducing creative self-expression, reflection and contemplation in a comfortable and safe environment. The process of learning, creating, and sharing invokes deeper awareness, inspiration, inner peace, joy, and healing.

Virtual Grief Group

Are you experiencing grief due to a death of a loved one? In this 8-week virtual grief group, you will build supportive connections as you explore healthy ways to process your grief, mediate stress and increase overall wellbeing. With a special focus on self-compassion, mindfulness and sharing your own unique stories and experiences you can feel restored in your grief journey. To participate you must be at least 4-months post loss, have internet access and a computer, have a private space for virtual sessions, have completed the initial screening process with Dr. Thomas. Within & Without: Mindful Photography Reflection Group 

Through the practice of mindful photography and journal writing participants will creatively explore one’s authentic experience with grief and loss. Participants will learn the practice of mindful photography and be introduced to the basic function of a photographic equivalent—-how a photographic image might act as a symbol or metaphor for something that is beyond the object photographed. Through learning, practicing and sharing in this process participants will gain confidence, increased awareness, acceptance and the capacity to draw meaning through experience. Participants will be invited to reflect on the qualities of their own unique journey and share at their comfort level. In this virtual caregiver support group, you will build supportive connections as you explore healthy ways to mediate stress and increase overall wellbeing.
